1955 Fender Restoration
| This 1955 Non-Trem was fully Restored. This guitar survived an 8
year tour in the jungles of Viet Nam, and carried many deep battle scars.
Both the maple neck and ash body, after sanding, had to be chemically treated
to decontaminate the wood, and remove the stains from the wood, especially
the fingerboard of the neck. The frets were replaced from our small left
over stock of old original frets. The neck was then refinished and the
body refinished to hide some of the battle scars. All the hardware had
to be reconditioned. The controls, knobs, jack, and pickguard had to be
replaced.
